Let Afi and Zozo tell you about insulin pens

Sometimes the pancreas needs a little extra help in making and releasing Insulin into the body. (Remember Insulin is needed in order for sugar to enter the cells and give the cells nutrients.) And sometimes, an outside help, the insulin pen, is needed to help the pancreas do its job. It is inserted into the belly before each meal in order to prepare the blood and body for the meal that is about to be eaten.

Sometimes we may need a little extra help in math or reading. After school, we may find ourselves working with a helper or tutor in order to understand and learn what we don’t understand and know. Just as the Insulin pen makes sure the pancreas is doing its job, the tutor makes sure we are doing our very best in school. And just as the pen is inserted into the belly before each meal in order to prepare the body, the tutor helps us out right before a big test to make sure we are prepared.

The tutor and the Insulin pen are not needed by everyone but if necessary, can make a huge positive effect on the person using them.
